Between the Buried and Me have produced five studio albums, toured with over countless bands, and seen their fair share of members come and go but they are still working to bring the fans the music they know and love.

Between the Buried and Me formed in 2001 when vocalist, Tommy Rogers met guitarist Paul Waggoner, and decided to make music together. Their three-song demo eventually became the beginning of the first full length album, sporting the same name as the band itself. The album was released in 2002, and was home to the song, "Aspirations", which became their first music video. While this album gained little attention from the fans, the people in charge at Victory Records saw it. They liked it enough to eventually sign the band later down the road.

The band went on to record, The Silent Circus and Alaska, in 2003 and 2005, respectively. Between these two albums Between the Buried and Me saw a lineup change, in which the drummer, bassist and guitarist were all replaced. They had always been the type of band to experiment with sounds and genres, but Alaska seemed to kick it up a notch, as the last song “Laser Speed” featured a bit of salsa and jazz.

After this lineup change the band went on to release an album in 2006 titled, The Anatomy Of… which featured covers of songs originally performed by bands that influenced Between the Buried and Me. This array of artists included, Metallica, Pantera, King Crimson, Queen, Pink Floyd, Earth Crisis, Counting Crows, and Blind Melon. This group of bands clearly shows the range in musical styles that Between the Buried and Me exhibits in their music.

In all their time as a band, they can say that they’ve seen their fair share of stage time. The band has been on tours such as Ozzfest in 2006, with bands like Atreyu, Black Label Society, and Ozzy Osbourne. They have also toured with Every Time I Die, Norma Jean, The Number Twelve Looks Like You and many more.

They headlined a tour towards the end of December of 2007 with August Burns Red, and Behold…The Arctopus after the release of their fifth studio album, Colors. Their sixth studio album is set to come out on October 27th 2009 and is sure to be previewed when they visit Webster Theater.
